I just watched a documentary called "Your Love Broke Through" about Keith Green thanks to some dude who posted it on Youtube! :)
Ive been on this great quest to learn from some worship music pioneers...and who better then to learn about Keith Green, this radical, passionate worshipper.
If you watch this documentary, or you read about him on Wikipedia, you might be surprised to know he has a Jewish heritage! Its cool that God puts this insatiable appetite in your soul for somethign more when that something is missing.
Keith know there was something more out there, and when he found Jesus, he knew that that was the prize of his life. That he had finally found what he was looking for.
He laid everything aside for Jesus. It was all about Jesus.
Thats where the heart of worship lies....is in Jesus.
We need to simplify the message, not water it down. Its not about the clothes on your back, its your relationship with Jesus. No way around it.
So, I am nearly 20 weeks preggo now! Where did the time go!!
I am absolutely loving being pregnant now that the nausea has seemed to subside. I love everything little movement the baby makes, its just amazing.
We went to Vernon to have an ultrasound done on March 16th, Wednesday. What a miracle to see each arm, leg, the heart beating etc......that each part was perfectly formed.......such a MIRACLE. We had planned to go to Vernon so we could find out the baby's gender........and I totallly forgot that was the reason as soon as I saw my little baby moving around. I fell in love and whatever it was, I was going to be happy with.
So, ITS A BOY! :) \
The joy that just fills my heart....the love I already feel.....its overwelming.
I didnt think this would happen so fast!! :) hehe.
Well going out for a late icecream with my wonderful husband.

Come Spring - COOOMEE
I am so done with this cold weather. Done. Done. DONE. DoNe. DOOOOOOOOONNNEEEEE!! I want spring to come right now. I am sick of wearing a million layers to go brave the outdoors. I am sick of snow blanketing everything. I am sick of wanting to just stay in the house with my pajamas on. I want sunshine! Flowers! Everything that comes with Spring!
Isn't it wonderful to know that we only have to endure winter for a season? It's time to for Spring to take it's place!
This is totally comparative to our lives too. We will have seasons of winter; a cold, dark, unfruitful time in our lives. BUT, welcome "Spring" with all your heart! Time of warmth, of re-growth, vision of new things! :) Everything is but a season; always changing.

Beautiful Day
Hello, Beautiful Day!
Ok, so it’s not that beautiful. In fact, it’s cloudy and downright cold and nasty. I also am working at the place we do not speak of – my nemesis (aka my job at ***** *****) so technically I should be having a pretty crappy day.
**Please note asterisks note confidentiality of workplace, NOT swearwords!
However, I feel like the sun is shining on me, and that is truth because the SON (Jesus) is shining on me. I decided to have fun no matter what today, and to trust in God, that his ways are higher than my ways. The morning flew by and I felt good. I grabbed a chili and tea from Timmy’s and I won a FREE coffee from the ‘Roll up the Rim” contest! But what’s cooler (and cuter) is the person put a little smiley face like this: =) on my lid with the chalk they use to inidicate whether it’s a double double etc. Haha. It was a like a sign. Living under the kiss of heaven as Darlene Zschech says….
I wish the weather would hurry up and get warmer. I miss walking to work. I miss hanging out in the front yard bathing in the sun while attempting to keep my flowers alive. I miss wearing cooler clothes – minus sweaters and boots. Bring out the sandals!
Tomorrow, I am officially 16 weeks along – exciting! Clothes are getting a little tighter, it’s not as easy to suck in your gut. LOL. Morning sickness, still coming and going, but mostly going now that I am in the second trimester. It’s still not totally feeling real yet. Although, I do think I have felt the baby move!! There’s been some weird movement Ive never felt before….it’s really super exciting. Cant wait until March 16th for the ultrasound!
Well, this is it for now!

Refreshing
Dear Jesus.
Refresh my weary, tired, "ready to give up" soul.
Set a flame upon my heart that burns for You.
Give my eyes new and renewed vision.
Strengthen my weak hands.
Bring the fullness of JOY and LIFE - just as you promised.

Dooo It!
Hello Oh Neglected Blog.
I feel like I have not been consistently writing on here.
I know, not like I have to!
No contracts signed, no fan base to wait outside my house, no money made.
But yet I feel a weird slight obligation to write here on a consistent basis. Selfishly, it is fun to look back a day, a month or year ago and see what life was like. The struggles, the prizes, the desires, and the blessings. Fun to see which mountains you scaled, and which insignificant thoughts may have circulated the brain.
So, I have a new role model - for lack of a better, more mature title.
Chris Tomlin.
If you dont know who this guy is, he is a worship leader, most recognized for being associated with the Passion movement with Charlie Hall, Matt Redmond etc.
Heard the song "Forever?" Then you know him!
He is a great singer, great musician.
But what I look up to him for is his ability to pump out new worship music ALL the time. The guy never stops writing lyrics/music - and it's GOOD, anointed, awesome music.
Who has seen South Park with their "Faith Plus One" band taking secular songs and turning them into christian tunes? Pretty darn funny episode. Let's be real here - alot of music sounds like that!
But Chris is pumping out music that sounds fantastic, catchy, and most of all genuine. The lyrics are poetic and beautiful - provoking a sense of awe and intimacy with God.
God has blessed him with that big time!!!
So as a worship leader and "growing" song writer (tons of songs written - only 3 introduced to the church so far - haha!...im getting better at not being so self conscious) I look to Chris as a source of inspiration. Not a source of inspiration for writing material, Jesus should be our source. But I look to him as someone who has been gifted, and I think we could learn alot from him.
What I always come to eventually is: JUST DO IT.
Stop thinking it over.
Dont procrastinate.
If God has given you something, DO IT and USE IT! :)
So, I had no intention of writing this just now but I was playing "Jesus Messiah" by Chris Tomlin on YouTube adn this is what bounced into my brain.
So, my much neglected blog, there is hope - I shall be back soon!

The Cave
There's no way a round this one - this song is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
I'm not going to comment on this one, just listen to the song and really hear (read) the lyrics and decided for yourself the meaning of this song.
For me, it's beautiful, spiritual and moving.
"THE CAVE"
Mumford and Sons
It's empty in the valley of your heart
The sun, it rises slowly as you walk
Away from all the fears
And all the faults you've left behind
The harvest left no food for you to eat
You cannibal, you meat-eater, you see
But I have seen the same
I know the shame in your defeat
But I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck
And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again
Cause I have other things to fill my time
You take what is yours and I'll take mine
Now let me at the truth
Which will refresh my broken mind
So tie me to a post and block my ears
I can see widows and orphans through my tears
I know my call despite my faults
And despite my growing fears
But I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck
And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again
So come out of your cave walking on your hands
And see the world hanging upside down
You can understand dependence
When you know the maker's hand
So make your siren's call
And sing all you want
I will not hear what you have to say
Cause I need freedom now
And I need to know how
To live my life as it's meant to be
And I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck
And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again

Word Up
"A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word darkness on the wall of his cell"
